Hi, my name is Mike. I have been working in the heating industry for 25 years. I’ve been heating my two homes (6500 square feet) with a gasification outside wood boiler. The first boiler I used was a Central 2300E. I bought it in 2007 from Central Boiler. To heat the two homes, it took on average 17 full cord a year. After seven years of use it started to leak and I spent a lot of unpleasant time dealing with customer service. After yet another long time of down time, it was time to replace the unit. I considered the same unit, but after evaluating my experience with customer service, the amount of time and labor to maintain the unit running I chose to seek other options. I went to see many different boilers running in the field before deciding to purchase the Crown Royal 7300E boiler. The first year I had a small problem with moisture. Ryan and Cody worked with me to fix it. They were pleasant and easy to work with in problem solving. I have been running the boiler now for three years. The boiler has good recovery and uses less wood, on average 11 full cords a year. There is also less maintenance to keep it up and running efficiently. I clean the full unit each week, which takes fifteen minutes. Twice a week, I clean the lower chamber and that takes about 5 minutes to complete. There has been no down time for repairs during the three years that I have been running this system. I am very pleased that I chose this boiler.
